About the Author

Andy was born in Guelph, Ontario and moved to western Canada at the age of eighteen. He then moved north and lived in Nunavut for ten years, the N.W.T. for two and the Yukon for eight. During that time, he worked in the addiction’s field. From there he relocated to Vancouver Island and has resided there for ten years. 

Andy and his daughter, Nipi, collaborated on the ‘Every Village Needs an Idiot’ series of fourteen books, with Andy writing the books and Nipi creating the covers. Andy has written short stories and articles about mental health and other topics. He began writing books in 2010 and has written thirty books to date. Andy lives in Victoria, BC, and enjoys spending time with his daughter and her small family. He is passionate about social justice and tries to do his part by informing people about various issues and encouraging them to engage in dialogue and debate. He says that debate is healthy, to ignore is not.
